So its Christmas time, a time for being with friends and family. However not everyone can be close to family this time of year, some just have jobs that are not close to home, some are over seas, and some family are going through tough times and can not afford it.
I know what that is like not being able to be close to home for the holidays, but we should be thankful. Most of us can call are family’s and with things like Facebook, e-mail, Skype, and other ways we keep in contact we are closer to the people that we care about. Just remember it was not that long ago that closeness was that easy.

Family recipe
What do people like, they like food, or
at least I do, so here is a favorite of mine that I learned when I
was just a kid.
Cheesy Tacos
what you will need
1 pack soft flour taco shells
2 blocks grated cheese (pick two that
you like)
1 lbs of ground beef
1 can of sloppy Joe sauce
and any toppings you would like
Cook ground beef till browned , drain
and add sloppy Joe sauce
in rectangle casserole dish add two
spoons of your beef mixture then add rolled flower tortillas with
your blend of cheese till dish is full, then cover with the rest of
your beef mixture.
Bake at 350 for 20 min
I like mine topped with sour cream,
avocado, and green olives.
But have whatever you like on yours

What have I learned?
Recently my grandfather passed away. He
lived a good and full life.
One thing I learned from him is that
you should live life one moment at a time, take your time to live. He
was wise, honest, a smart ass, joker, flirt, knew a little about
everything, and was always relaxed, at least as long as I knew him.
What a grate way to go through life,
actually seeing it. What a grate lesson, to watch life.
Will I ever learn that lesson??
See you in a few years, Grandfather
Jack (on my dads side), mama (my grandmother on my moms side) papa
(my grandfather on my moms side) and grandma (on my dads side). I am
going to try to learn from you, I am going to try to watch life, keep
intrusted and learning, do something fun, hold on to my beliefs, and
live.
I can only try.

Man oh Man
Man oh man it has been hot, some places have been dry some have been wet and some have been shaking around a bit. Gas is up, food supply is down, you should get ready for the end of the world.
I know things have not looked the best, but remember to look around you. There are a lot of good things haping that we don’t notice. The press wants ratings and look for the bad. And there is a lot of that, but there has always been a lot of bad, there has been a lot of good too.
So I know it can be hard to do, but look around you and look for the good.
Also say to yourself every morning “I have always lived the future”

Take 5
Today while I was at work, counting some inventory I became over heated. I now realize it is important for us to take some time to cool off, not just when we are physically hot, or emotionally hot, but a little time for us to know what we are doing.
I now know that if I would have taken the time to grab some water it would have proven useful at the time, and if we take just a moment for us in this fast and busy life it will be useful to us and the people around us. It can give us peace and confidence.
So in your busy and fast life tomorrow start something new. A few moments stop, look around, and decide what you are going to do next, and grab your “water”, whatever water you need and move forward. I know for one, I will be trying this new thing.
Just a thought.

Love Is In The Air
Love is in the air. I got a fortune cookie at lunch today and that is what it said.
At first I thought “yea, whatever” but the more I though about it, maybe it was right. There are many forms of love, one love is just asking the question “how are you today?” it makes people feel good and it spreads.
I have a problem with stupid people, but maybe the problem is not theirs but mine. If I let stupid people get to me then it is my anger to deal with, not theirs. I have been trying to not let little things get to me, sometimes it is not easy.
If we all just do one nice thing a day for someone that we would normally do nothing for, how much would that change life for everyone? That is not easy, we get so warped up in us that we forget about them. Its not like we know the person sitting at the green light when we honk and cuss at them. They are probably thinking about that date tonight, or that hottie they just saw, or maybe there going to lose there house. Whatever it is we have all had those days.
As hard as it is for me to say, I have been that mad person making there day just a little worse. I will try to be more forgiving and nicer to people, and I hope you will all join me in this.
It is never to late to change us.

What about the ones we care about
I was just sitting here thinking about what I should post next.
I grew tall in a time of no facebook, no myspace, and email was at its binging. How hard was it to keep in touch with the people we meet along the way. All we had to do is pick up a pin and send them a letter, and maybe they would send one back.
Now everyone has a email, a lot of people have a facebook, and there is text pic and video we can send on a whim. But are we learning from the past?
As life goes on people come and people go, and we louse touch with people we care about, and then as time goes by we try to find them once again. Sometimes this is easy, and I will just speak for myself, the ones I want to talk to I can not find.
Life is a hard lesion, if you care stay in touch. There are so many more tools today then there were just a short time ago.
It is a lot harder to find the ones you lost, then to keep the ones you have.
